It's the small things....

It's amazing how far technologically advanced schools are compared to even just five years ago. When I was in high school, I remember teachers having to take attendance on a scantron. They would bubble in the absent student and place the form in a box outside the door. Eventually, someone from the office would pick it up. Now, however, it's paperless! We take attendance on the computer. We can even see what other classes a student has missed. Another good thing about the program that we use is that it notes that if a student is "otherwise detained" as my SBTE says--it shows us if a student is in ISS or alternative placement.


It's really convenient, I love it!


I also love the fact that we've cut down on the paper wastage.
